I Pledge my HANDS to larger service...

In the 4-H program, "Hands" represents another essential principle, alongside Head, Heart, and Health. Here's what "Hands" signifies within the context of 4-H:

**Hands**: This "H" emphasizes the importance of practical skills development and learning by doing. It encourages youth to actively participate in hands-on activities and projects that promote skill-building, creativity, and personal growth such as projects and community service.

Specifically, the "Hands" aspect of 4-H encourages young people to:
- Learn practical skills such as cooking, woodworking, gardening, animal care, and various crafts.
- Engage in experiential learning through projects that allow them to apply knowledge gained from the "Head" aspect.
- Develop leadership abilities by taking responsibility for project planning, execution, and evaluation.
- Helping others and using our HANDS to be good citizens and leaders!

Through our "Hands," 4-H aims to empower youth with practical skills that complement their intellectual and emotional development, fostering well-rounded individuals capable of making meaningful contributions to their communities and society.

In Our 3rd Cloverbud Meeting...

Learn about new project areas

This meeting is a good opportunity to talk about the food projects and horticulture categories as we will be working outside and getting our hands dirty! We'll also talk about how to register for your projects at the upcoming county fair and what to expect when you arrive at project interview judging.

Talk about helping and community service

4-H is a youth service organization that teaches our members that helping HANDS make easier work for everyone and it's a lot more fun to work together to accomplish a goal! All of the clubs in Brown County strive to complete several community service projects throughout the year.

Complete a community service project

We'll use our Cloverbud HANDS to help a group or organization do an age-appropriate community service project. In the past, we've planted flowers for the 4-H office.

We'll enjoy a cool treat, too, to celebrate a job well done!
